Finding the Right Lender
Financing your purchase can be one of the most frustrating parts of home buying unless you have the right lender. If you need to get a loan for a purchase, it’s very smart to use a local lender. They know the market, they know the options and they know what to avoid to get you funded in a timely manner. In the Palm Springs area especially, if you are thinking of buying a property with an Indian Land Lease, you need a lender familiar with those types of sales.
We also recommend you get pre-approved, not pre-qualified, with a lender if you need a loan to buy the home. A buyer has 3 days after an offer is accepted to provide the seller a pre-approval letter for the loan. It generally takes longer than 3 days to get pre-approved so do the work beforehand and have it ready to go when you make the offer. It’s also a good idea to talk to a lender before you start house hunting. A lender can tell you how much house you can afford to buy and what your monthly payments will be.
